  • Skakeling en koördinering van alle werk met kliënte, kontrakteurs en ander interne belanghebbendes, deur middel van die opstelling van kwotasiedokumentasie en beramings, kwotasies inwin, bestellings plaas, betalings doen, asook volledige rekordhouding behartig;
  • Algemene bestuur, met inbegrip van die identifisering van risiko aspekte, toepassing van beroepsgesondheid- en veiligheidsvereistes, nakoming van nasionale boustandaarde, asook die beleid en prosedures van die Universiteit;
  • Projekbestuur, met inbegrip van inspeksies, aanbevelings en regstellingsaksies, die volledige beheer oor uitgawes, insluitend weeklikse opdatering van die projek/werksversoekstelsel, gereëlde nagaan van vordering gemeet aan teikendatums, identifisering van risiko’s en voorkomende/regstellende aksies;
  • Verhoudingsbestuur, met inbegrip van die bevordering en instandhouding van goeie werksverhoudinge en vennootskappe met interne kliënte en kontrakteurs, asook die bevordering van Fasiliteitsbestuur se beeld binne sowel as buite die Universiteit;
  • Personeel bestuur van onderhoud span en toesien dat beplande en reaktiewe instandhouding prosedures gevolg word, dat onderhoud op skedule gedoen word en dat reaktiewe onderhoud spoedig aangespreek word.


  • Liaising and coordinating all work with clients, contractors and other internal stakeholders, by way of preparing quotation documents and estimates, calling for quotations, placing orders, making payments, as well as keeping complete records;
  • General management, including identifying risk aspects, applying occupational health and safety measures, national building standards, as well as the University\'s policies and procedures;
  • Project management, including inspections, recommendations and remedial measures, the complete control of expenditures, including weekly updating of project/work application system, regular monitoring of progress measured against deadlines, identifying risks and preventative/remedial measures;
  • Relations management, including the promotion and maintenance of good working relations and partnerships with internal clients and contractors, as well as promoting the image of Facility Management both inside and outside the University;
  • Staff management and ensuring planned and reactive maintenance components and procedures are adhered to, that maintenance is done according to schedules and that reactive maintenance during breakdowns get resolved within time.


  • N6 meganies/elektries en gelykwaardige kwalifikasie in lugversorging;
  • `n Gekwalifiseerde ambagsman;
  • Minstens tien jaar se toepaslike ervaring;
  • Vaardighede in Microsoft Office;
  • Bewese mondelinge en skriftelike kommunikasievaardighede;
  • Goeie leierseienskappe;
  • \'n Bogemiddelde vermoë om goeie menseverhoudinge te bevorder en in stand te hou met kollegas, kliënte en ander belanghebbendes;
  • Vermoë om kollegas te motiveer, van raad te kan bedien, leiding te kan gee en aan te spoor tot beter dienslewering;
  • Vermoë om in spanverband te kan funksioneer;
  • `n Geldige kode B-rybewys;
  • Bemeesterde kennis en toepassing van lugversorging, verkoeling en verhitting;
  • Werkende kennis van verkoelers, yskaste en hitte pomp sisteme;
  • Goeie werkende kennis van BMS stelsels.

  • N6 mechanical/electrical and equivalent qualification in HVAC;A qualified artisan;
  • At least ten years\' relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good leadership qualities;
  • An above-average ability to promote and maintain good human relations with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders;
  • Ability to motivate colleagues, to offer advice, provide leadership and inspire them to provide better service delivery;
  • Ability to function within a team;
  • A valid Code B driver\'s licence;
  • Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating;
  • Working knowledge of chillers, fridges and boiler/heat pump systems;
  • Good working knowledge of BMS systems.
